Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility Icon
    Must be an Indian National or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

    Should be between the age of 17 to 35 years at the time of applying to the Pilot Programme

    Should have a minimum height of 158 cms (approximately 5ft 2inches)

    Minimum Educational Qualification should be: Higher Secondary (10+2) with a minimum score of 60% each in English, Physics and Mathematics. The requirements of the education qualification may differ on the basis of the courses opted for under the Pilot Programme

Selection Process

The Selection Process is completely transparent and is scientifically designed to determine the suitability of the candidate for the job of an Airline Pilot.

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Online Registration

  • Applicant must first register online on "https://application.spicestaracademy.edu.in/" while ensuring that all the above mentioned eligibility criteria are met.
  • Please note that a non-refundable application fee of 5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand) is required to be paid while submitting the application online.

2. Application Screening

  • Once the application has been submitted, the same shall undergo internal screening process. In case the applicant is selected for further assessment the Academy team will get in touch with details regarding the selection process through an e-mail and/ or SMS.

  • Multi-tasking (Task Manager)

Phase 2

CCT (Complex Control Task)

  • All applicants who pass Phase 1 will need to take this test.
  • This module requires applicant to use a joystick and rudder pedal set connected to a computer.
Results shall be announced soon after the test.

Cadet Pilot Programme

The Pilot Programme is tailored specifically to address all training areas for Academy students (“Cadet Pilot”) with a holistic view. The Cadet Pilot will be given industry leading flying training consisting of 3 phases:

  1. Ground School for preparation
    of DGCA CPL Papers.
  2. Flying training for CPL.
  3. Aircraft specific Type Rating.

This Programme will groom the Cadets to be meticulous at their job and to be a disciplined individual throughout their career.

Cadet Pilot Programme + BBA

Higher Secondary (10+2) students have the added advantage of finishing their graduation along with the Pilot Programme. This customized course comprises of an added BBA degree in affiliation with a University recognised by UGC.

Cadet Pilot Programme + MBA

Graduate students enrolling for the Pilot Programme have the advantage of opting for MBA degree in affiliation with one of leading UGC recognised Universities. This dual degree programme will help Cadet Pilot to expand their skill set and enhance their chances of transcending into various roles in Flight Operations management.

Fee Structure

1.

1st Instalment

A non-refundable admission fee of INR 10 Lac +applicable taxes to be deposited within 10 days from the date of letter of admission.

2.

2nd Instalment

INR 30 Lac+applicable taxes to be deposited within 14 days from the date of commencement of the assigned batch under the Pilot Programme.

3.

3rd Instalment

INR 25 Lac+applicable taxes to be deposited on the commencement of IR phase of Flying Training or 7 months from the date of commencement of assigned batch under the Pilot Programme (whichever is earlier).

4.

4th Instalment

INR 24.50 Lac+applicable taxes to be deposited within 14 days from the date of completion of CPL or 12 months from the commencement of assigned batch under the Pilot Programme (whichever is earlier).

Scholarship Amount

The Academy will provide a scholarship of :

  • 10 Lac on second installment
  • 10 Lac on third installment
  • 10 Lac on fourth installment
Total scholarship offered to an applicant under Category 1 is 30 Lac. A maximum of 4 scholarships will be awarded in this category.

The Academy will provide a scholarship of :

  • 5 Lac on second installment
  • 5 Lac on third installment
  • 5 Lac on fourth installment
Total scholarship offered to an applicant under Category 2 is 15 Lac. A maximum of 6 scholarships will be awarded in this category. If there are more than 4 scholarship eligible students in Category 1, they will be given preference over Category 2.

Note : Type Rating is a qualification required to fly a specific 'TYPE' of aircraft e.g. B737, Q400 etc. Any aircraft with more than 5,700 kg maximum take-off weight or turbine power requires a 'Type Rating' to operate. A 'Type Rating' course consists of a technical ground school course that covers the aircraft system and performance, and a simulator course. This course teaches the Cadet Pilots how to fly the aircraft in a 'full flight simulator' that simulates normal and emergency situations.
